This year’s Beccles Rose Fete, held at Ringsfield, has been a resounding success. With hundreds of visitors enjoying music, food, games and more traditional fun, the countdown has already begun for next year’s event.
The Rose Fete has become a major part of the Beccles events calendar, with the dog show proving a particular hit. Musical entertainment was also a huge draw, with sounds provided by the likes of the Lowestoft Longshore Men, Abby Bourke and a performance of songs from Les Miserables courtesy of Bungay Youth Theatre Group.
Anne Tackley, one of the helpers, told the East Anglian Daily Times: “The event went really well. I was making the teas and we ran out of cups in the end so that’s a good indicator of how busy we were. The music sounded stunning and I saw lots of dogs, so the show went down well too.”
