Save beccles swimming poolAfter many discussions Waveney District Council have finally agreed to hand over the Beccles swimming pool site to Beccles Lido Limited. The new owners plan is to raise the money for the necessary repairs and re-open in 2010 under new ownership and management. Beccles Lido Ltd hope to re-open the pool THIS summer.

Beccles Lido Ltd have said: “The pool is almost in our hands – fundraising is the top priority!”

Beccles Lido Ltd have asked that people sign up to our lottery or come to one of our fundraising events to help make their dream of running Beccles Swimming Pool come alive.

Love Beccles are hopeful that Beccles Lido can gain the funding their require to run the Beccles swimming pool so that townsfolk and tourists have somewhere to keep fit and enjoy themselves this summer and beyond.

Beccles Town Footbal Club are still in second place in the league. They are still six points behind, but they do have two games in hand on the leaders. An Alex Holmes hat-trick saw Beccles Town beat St Andrews 3-1 at the weekend.
