Situated in Toft Monks, close to Beccles, Clinks Care Farm has been running since 2010 and allows people to come into its grounds and help with the running of the Farm.
Although the Farm primarily aims to help those with mental or physical disabilities, it’s also open to the public. Offering people the chance to spend some time out in the outdoors and help with maintaining farm equipment and deal with the day-to-day management of the Farm, Clinks Care Farm has seen people of all ages come through its doors, with a group of primary school children having just left. It has forty regular clients and a host of other visitors, too.
The Farm has already had great results, and its owner, Dutchman Doeke Dobma, has observed a great increase in enthusiasm and vitality in those have passed through the 143 acre farm’s gates. More reserved and quiet individuals have really discovered an increase in their self-confidence, he feels, and there’s many people feel that they have a calling to work in the outdoors that they haven’t discovered anywhere else in their lives.
