One of the biggest stores in Beccles opens its doors on Friday 19th October with a grand opening event. Local retailer Roys new store on the old Rainbow supermarket site in Gosford Road, will be officially opened by the Mayor of Beccles, Graham Catchpole at 9am.
Some of Roys suppliers such as Bushells Bakery and PG Tips will be handing out free food and drink samples and a children’s magician and balloon modeller will be on hand to provide entertainment.
To show their support for local causes, Roys will present the mayor with two donations to local charities, £1,000 for the Mayors Appeal fund for Youth Sports and £500 for the PCSO Youth Sport fund.
A wide range of products will be available in the new store, such as food and drink, including locally sourced produce, fashion from famous brands such as Regatta, Playtex, Musto, Toggi , Triumph and Wrangler and a new Clarks footwear department for ladies, men’s and children’s footwear. Other footwear brands stocked will include Emu, Skechers, Animal, Padders and Hunter.
The store will be completed by new homeware and electrical, DIY and gardening, toys and games and news and tobacco departments.
Customers can also enjoy up to two hours free parking in the large Roys car park. The store will open seven days a week and a warm welcome awaits customers from the ex Rainbow staff who have joined Roys, along with some new local additions to the team.
