Take to the Skies to Help West Suffolk Hospital

charity-skydivingCalling all daredevils: Clare Haslam-Wise, whose father is being treated at West Suffolk Hospital for Lymphoma, has organised a charity skydiving event at Ellough Airfield just outside Beccles to raise money for the hospital’s G1 unit.

The G1 unit includes an adult cancer ward, a Macmillan palliative care ward and the childrens’ Rainbow Ward. Clare is searching for volunteers to take the plunge and leap 10,000 feet in a sponsored skydive.

She told the Bury Free Press: “The reason for organising this event is to get the local community involved in helping the hospital in a fun way.”

“They do amazing work there, and my family have learnt from first-hand experience what a good job they do, not only medically but with emotional support as well.”

If you want to get involved and help support this vital local resource, contact Clare at ctrhw@hotmail.com or call 07580 532378.
